Third time I've arrived here. And the final day has arrived. Its day 80 (Saturday) of the trip and I'm off to Bangkok this afternoon and then joining up with my next trip on Sunday. Should make an excellent change and contrast from Australia, I'm really looking forward to people watching the next 4 weeks. Here are the details of that trip

Yesterday the rain came to Sydney - it was horrible. Temperature stayed quite warm but cities are manky in the rain. I decided to visit the Maritime museum. It has a number of exhibitions but it also has a submarine, naval destroyer and a replica of the Endeavour (Captain Cooks ship) on display. These were really interesting, especially the Endeavour. It had been made to plans from the actual ship. Obviously it was neat and painted but still showed the cramped conditions on such a ship. Although wandering around the modern submarine I think I would have gone for the Endeavour. How Wogger lived on a sub is beyond me.
Last night went to the Opera House to see Carmen. It was very good. A really dramatic set and an excellent performance - and it was sold out. Of course there was only 1 person there in shorts and sandals, but I didn't feel too out of place.
Off to the Airport this afternoon and then away to Bangkok. I hear its snowing at home. Hope everyone is trying to enjoy February. I've always found it to be a miserable month as besides my birthday it is a nothing month.
